OUR PROCESS
How we move you from opportunity to award.
A five-stage methodology that runs every engagement; from initial discovery to submission delivery.
01
Discovery
We understand your business, your target contracts, and your win priorities. Sector context, capability mapping, and procurement landscape review.
02
Strategy
We define the bid strategy — what to bid for, what to skip, and how to position. Pricing logic, win themes, and evaluator analysis built before we write a word.
03
Writing
Sector-specialist writing scored against published evaluation criteria. Every response engineered to maximise points, not just answer the question.
04
Review
Multi-stage quality control by accountants, sector specialists, and senior reviewers. Pricing models stress-tested. Compliance verified.
05
Submission
We manage submission against deadlines, stakeholder approvals, and portal requirements. You stay focused on operations; we deliver the bid.
FREQUENTLY ASKED
Questions worth asking.
The questions we hear most often from care providers, construction firms, and SMEs considering working with us.
What sectors do you specialise in?
We focus on four core sectors where we have demonstrated delivery experience: care and supported living, construction and building, healthcare services, and professional services for SMEs. Across these, we’ve worked on tenders for over 50 local authority areas, NHS trusts, and public sector frameworks. Sector specialism is what allows us to write responses that match evaluator expectations rather than generic bid language.
How is your pricing structured?
Engagement pricing depends on the scope of the tender and the level of support required. We offer standalone services (bid review, pricing model construction, single tender response) and ongoing retainers for clients with regular tender activity. We’re transparent about cost from the first conversation. Most engagements are quoted as a fixed fee against a defined scope, so there are no surprises.
What's included in a typical engagement?
A full tender engagement typically includes opportunity review, win-theme development, response writing scored against evaluation criteria, pricing model construction, multi-stage review by accountants and sector specialists, and submission coordination. Smaller engagements focus on specific stages. Every engagement begins with a Discovery conversation so we agree exactly what’s in scope before we start.
How long does a tender response take?
Most public sector tenders have a published response window of three to six weeks. Our process is built to use that time effectively: Discovery and Strategy in week one; Writing in weeks two and three; Review and Submission in the final week. For shorter deadlines, we can compress the timeline. The earlier you engage us, the more strategic value we can add.
What if our tender doesn't reach the shortlist?
We back our methodology with confidence. If we engage on a tender and it doesn’t reach the shortlist, we have specific commitments we’ll discuss during the consultation. Our methodology is built around scoring against published evaluation criteria; we don’t take on tenders we don’t believe can win. The conversation about risk and commitment happens early, transparently, and is documented in the engagement letter.
Do you work with smaller contracts?
Yes. We work with SMEs pursuing contracts from £50,000 to £20m+, and the methodology adapts to the contract size. For smaller contracts, we focus on efficient bid response rather than full retainer support. The principle is the same: sector-specialist writing, accountant-led pricing, scoring-focused responses. The engagement scales to match.
Can you work to tight deadlines?
We’ve supported tenders with submission windows as short as ten working days. Compressed timelines change what’s possible; we focus on the highest-impact response sections and pricing model accuracy rather than full strategic positioning. The earlier you engage us, the more we can do. If you’ve got a deadline and a real opportunity, we can usually help.
How do we get started?
Book a 30-minute consultation. We’ll review your target opportunity (or general procurement landscape if you’re earlier-stage), identify the win themes, and show you how we’d approach it. There’s no commitment from that call; most clients use it to decide whether to engage us for a specific tender or set up an ongoing retainer.
